TELTONIKA RUT500 M2M 3G ROUTER - 21Mbps

NB : The RUT500 is supplied with a UK Main Power Supply, 1 x Elbow Joint Cellular Antenna, 1 x Elbow Joint WiFi Antenna, Patch lead and DIN Rail Mounting Kit

The Teltonika RUT500 is a compact HSPA+ 3G router with high speed wireless and Ethernet connections.

Featuring internal HSPA+ modem technology, the RUT500 3G Router can reach download rates of up to 21Mbps and upload speeds up to 5.76Mbps.

Connecting to the RUT500 router is via high speed n wireless and the RUT500 supports the latest IEEE802.11n as well as IEEE802.11b/g standards and provides wireless receiving and transmitting rate of up to 150 Mbps or you can connect using one of the three 10/100 Ethernet ports for wired LAN connectivity. The RUT500 UK 3G Router also features a WAN port to enable the router to be used as a failover 3G Router.

External antenna connectors (SMA) make it possible to attach high gain or external 3G antennas and to easily find the best signal location.

Simple configuration and advanced features with a reliable, high speed 3G mobile broadband connection make this router ideal for business and M2M applications.

TELTONIKA RUT500 Port Forwarding using DYNDNS (using Three Mobile SIM Card)

The following video demonstrates how to configure the RUT500 with a 3 Mobile SIM (using the APN 3internet) to get a public IP address allocated to the router so that the router can be accessed over the internet and then configuring port forwarding to connect to an IP camera on the LAN. It demonstrates that using a different APN the router will connect to the internet but will be given a PRIVATE IP address which means that you will be unable to connect to the router over the Internet and in this case will not be able to use port forwarding.

The video also explains the imporance of ensuring that the device on the LAN is correctly configured to ensure that it has the correct IP address AND default gateway and demonstrates what happens if the default gateway is incorrect or missing which is one of the most common reasons that port forwarding does not work.
