EXTERNAL ANTENNAPlease note that the ZTE MF60 uses the latest embedded antenna design to provide a high quality 3G connection and when you connect an external antenna you might find that your signal strength drops. This is becuase when an external antenna is connected the ZTE MF60 stops using the built-in antenna and only uses the external 3G antenna. If you consider that the internal antenna will typically deliver the equivalent of an 8dBi Gain if you connected a 5dBi Gain external antenna then you would be impeding the performance of the unit.
The External Antenna option should only be used if you are in a very poor signal location or the ZTE MF60 unit is to be used in a location where there is no Signal inside a building, but a good signal outside. In this scenario the external 3G Antenna would be able to deliver the good 3G signal from outside the building down the antenna cable to the ZTE MF60 which is in a location with poor or no 3G signal.
