Proroute H685F-W-POE Compact 5G Router

This version of the popular 5G router supports power input using a standard POE switch (802.3af) supporting 48VDC input.  This provides a simple solution for installations with a single POE switch providing power for all connected devices.

NB : This router does not provide POE output

IMPORTANT : the non-POE version of the H685 should not be powered using a connection straight from a POE switch.

The Proroute H685 is a reliable, industrial grade compact 4G router with embedded high speed 5G module for high speed mobile broadband data transfer speeds.

Many M2M applications require a small form factor 4G/5G Router to provide connectivity to the internet and the Proroute H685 5G Router is the ideal solution. The common way to use the router is with a 4G or 5G Fixed IP SIM Card to provide the H685 router with a mobile internet connection with a fixed, public IP address for easy and reliable remote access to the router and connected devices using port forwarding.

Of course, the H685 5G Router can be used with a normal SIM Card but in the UK most standard SIM cards will use CGNAT (Carrier Grade NAT) which means when the router connects to the mobile network it will receive a private IP address on the mobile network providers network so that you cannot remotely connect to the router, nor can you use Dynamic DNS because your mobile provider has not provided a public IP address for your connection. So if you just need an internet connection and do not need remote access over the Internet then you can just use a standard SIM card in the H685 45 router.
