TRB255 – Teltonika Industrial Cellular LTE CAT M1 / NB-IOT / EGPRS Gateway
The Teltonika TRB255 is an industrial CAT-M1 4G gateway, featuring an LPWAN modem, a GNSS receiver, a Fast Ethernet port (10/100), a durable 16-pin connector block and 2 digital input/outputs. This gateway supports a wide array of advanced IoT features including a secure and reliable power connector, serial communication and RS232/RS485 interfaces. The TRB255’s robust design and future-proofed functionality make it a great choice for any industrial IoT scenarios in which long-term reliability is paramount, and its CAT-M1 functionality allows it to offer strong IoT network speeds with low latency.
The flexibility of the TRB255 allows it to integrate modern and legacy industrial equipment together while operating with a wide range of utilities such as CAT-M1, NB-IoT, SMS control, Firewall services, OpenVPN, IPSec and Remote Management Services. It can even sustain backwards compatibility with EGPRS (2G) networks, allowing pre-existing 2G network systems to continue running should 2G services become unavailable and ensuring long-term viability.
The TRB255 is extremely energy efficient and its frame is robust as well as being small and lightweight, making it highly adaptable and reliable for many scenarios, whether domestic or industrial. This adaptability is enhanced by its ability to be powered via passive PoE, eliminating the requirement that it needs to be installed near a power supply and allowing it to be installed with equipment that’s quite out-of-the-way and difficult to reach. It also works well in vehicles, particularly with its GNSS support, and other high-performance industrial scenarios in which reliable long-term continuity is necessary.
